Head of Brand Marketing

  • On-site
    • New York, New York, United States

Job description

ABOUT ROLR

ROLR is building a prediction markets platform delivering the frontier of trading on sports, culture, economics, AI, commodities, and geopolitics.

You'll be on a nimble startup-like team within a public company. We give people a new way to engage with the events, stories, and outcomes they care about. This is category creation, not category marketing: the category has to be defined, then created, then grown, and the audience that fills it will not be limited to any single niche. This role owns the words.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Head of Brand Marketing to define and build the ROLR brand as we enter the U.S. prediction markets space. This is a senior role with responsibility for brand positioning, narrative, voice, campaigns, and messaging. You'll work closely with the CMO, our in-house design lead, creative teams, agencies, Product, Marketing, and Engineering leaders to build a distinctive consumer brand. You'll own a hard, interesting constraint: building a distinctive voice within a regulated vocabulary that can extend from a single iOS product surface into an ambitious platform. You’ll help shape that narrative both verbally and visually. Authenticity, creativity, and the ability to capture attention through storytelling will be essential as we grow the prediction markets category and establish ROLR's position within it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve ROLR's brand positioning, narrative, personality, and voice

  • Champion AI-native workflows across brand narrative, creative assets, and social media

  • Translate company and product strategy into clear consumer messaging

  • Use AI and emerging tools to move quickly from idea to execution when needed, working across internal teams and external partners

  • Develop the brand across sports, financial markets, entertainment, politics, and culture

  • Lead major brand campaigns from concept through launch

  • Develop campaign briefs, messaging frameworks, and launch strategies

  • Build and run an ongoing creator and short-form content engine, setting the strategy, quality bar, and operating model

  • Partner with internal creative, design, marketing, product, legal, and engineering teams

  • Lead brand activity across digital, social, experiential, partnerships, out-of-home, video, product, and PR

  • Select and manage creative, brand, production, and specialist agencies, including writing briefs and providing clear creative direction

  • Own brand standards and ensure consistency across channels

  • Ensure brand and marketing activity operates effectively within regulatory requirements

Job requirements

You’ll need to:

  • Have 8+ years of experience in brand marketing, integrated campaigns, or creative strategy

  • Have experience using current AI tools across creative, design, content, social media, PR, and brand execution

  • Have experience working with a strong consumer-facing brand, with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality strategic and creative work

  • Be comfortable reviewing results, learning from what doesn't work, and applying those learnings to future brand strategy

  • Have experience taking brand strategy through to execution across multiple channels

  • Have strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills

  • Have experience managing creative and marketing agencies

  • Have strong knowledge of contemporary media, social platforms, creators, and culture

  • Be comfortable operating at a senior level across multiple functions

  • Be based in New York, or willing to relocate to New York for the role.

Preferred Experience

  • Building or repositioning brands in new or emerging categories, where the audience had to be created rather than captured

  • Trading platforms, fintech, financial services, prediction markets, sports, media, or another regulated industry

  • Marketing within regulatory or compliance constraints

  • Building and managing internal brand and content teams

What We Offer

  • Base salary range: $200,000–$260,000 per year. Offers will be positioned within the range based on experience and qualifications

  • This role may also be eligible for an equity award, subject to applicable approvals

  • Competitive health and welfare benefits

  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match

  • Flexible vacation policy

  • Home office setup reimbursement

  • Access to mental health support
