Head of Product & Platform

  • On-site, Hybrid
    • New York, New York, United States

Job description

ABOUT ROLR

ROLR is building a prediction markets platform delivering the frontier of trading on sports, culture, economics, AI, commodities, and geopolitics.

You'll be on a nimble startup-like team within a public company. Our platform spans consumer surfaces and the services that power them, delivered with internal teams and external platform partners on a public-company timeline. A launch of this shape lives or dies on execution: milestones held, dependencies surfaced early, decisions chased to conclusion. This is a senior product leadership role with platform-wide scope and strategic-level agency.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Head of Product & Platform to own product across the platform, working directly with the Chief Product Officer.

This is a senior, hands-on product leadership role for a deeply technical product leader who wants to build: writing specs, running discovery, shipping with Engineering and Design, and driving launches end to end. The Platform scope means you operate across every surface and partner boundary, and you'll sit in leadership meetings to keep product and strategy connected. You'll also lead and manage members of the engineering team, with direct reports across key engineering roles, combining product leadership with responsibility for developing and enabling the team responsible for delivery. New York is preferred; we're open to an exceptional remote candidate with regular New York presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own platform-level product definition and delivery from discovery through launch

  • Write crisp product requirements and specs, and drive them through Engineering, Design, and QA to production

  • Lead and manage direct reports across the engineering team, setting clear priorities, expectations, and accountability for delivery

  • Run the launch program: milestones, dependencies, readiness reviews, and App Store submission requirements

  • Own product requirements and boundaries between ROLR and external platform and vendor partners, treating vendor substitution as a design property

  • Drive prioritization and trade-offs across surfaces: consumer app, web, back office, and partner experiences

  • Prepare executive and board-level reporting on product delivery, and participate in leadership meetings

  • Support corp dev, legal, and regulatory workstreams that touch the product

  • Unblock teams, chase decisions, and hold owners to dates through influence and clear accountability

  • Raise the bar for product craft and execution across the team

Job requirements

You’ll need to:

  • Have 10+ years of product management experience, with depth as a hands-on, technical product leader

  • Have a track record of shipping consumer software involving cross-functional teams and external partners

  • Have experience leading and managing technical and/or engineering teams

  • Have experience operating at executive level, including board-facing communication

  • Have strong systems thinking and exceptional written communication

  • Be comfortable holding senior stakeholders accountable to plans and dates

  • Be comfortable operating in a fast-moving, regulated environment

  • Be based in New York, or able to travel to New York regularly

Preferred Experience

  • Former founder, CEO, or general manager operating experience

  • Trading, fintech, gaming, or another regulated industry

  • App Store or regulated product launch experience

  • Vendor and platform partner management

  • AI-native working practices and tooling

  • Public company or investor-facing environments

What We Offer

  • Base salary range: $225,000–$275,000 per year. Offers will be positioned within the range based on experience and qualifications

  • Competitive health and welfare benefits

  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match

  • Flexible vacation policy

  • Home office setup reimbursement

  • Access to mental health support
