The Role:

As Head of Compliance, you’ll be the driving force behind our regulatory strategy, ensuring we meet all licensing and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions. From Estonia to Ontario, from MGA to Curacao. If you happen to have a legal background, even better! You can lead the legal frameworks with a strategic and proactive oversight. However we are mainly focused on regulatory compliance experience for this role.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Lead and manage the acquisition and renewal of gaming licenses in multiple jurisdictions, including Estonia, MGA, Ontario, Curacao, and other relevant markets.

  • Serve as the primary stakeholder and liaison for compliance and regulatory matters, maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies.

  • Ensure continuous compliance with both current and future regulations for each jurisdiction, staying ahead of regulatory changes that impact the business.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks, particularly regarding marketing, gaming operations, partnerships, and company assets.

  • Oversee risk assessments and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate potential risks associated with business operations and regulatory changes.

  • Work closely with senior management, including legal, product, sales, and marketing departments, ensuring compliance is integrated into every aspect of the business.

  • Provide strategic guidance to the organisation on compliance matters and ensure that internal policies align with local and international standards.

  • Lead and manage the legal and compliance team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development.

  • Design and implement training programs for internal teams and external partners to ensure awareness of compliance requirements and regulatory obligations.

  • Develop and present compliance-related reports to senior management and the board, including insights on regulatory changes and strategic responses.

  • Investigate potential compliance breaches and coordinate with internal stakeholders to take appropriate remedial actions.

  • Oversee incident response protocols and drive continuous improvement in the company's compliance posture.

  • Support the business in identifying new markets and licensing opportunities.

Job requirements

You’ll need to have:

  • Someone with least 5+ years in compliance and regulatory roles, ideally in iGaming, fintech, or financial services.

  • Deep knowledge of global gaming regulations, with experience navigating Estonia, MGA, Ontario, Curacao, and other key markets.

  • Expertise in AML, KYC, GDPR, and responsible gaming—you don’t just know the acronyms; you live them.

  • Strong experience dealing with regulators, auditors, and legal counsel in high-stakes environments.

  • A proven leader who can motivate teams and influence senior stakeholders.

  • If you’ve got a law degree or legal background, that’s a plus—but compliance expertise comes first.

  • Fluent in English (bonus if you know additional languages).

  • Professional certifications in compliance (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) are highly desirable.
