Social Media Manager (TikTok & Instagram)

  • On-site
    • New York, New York, United States

Job description

ABOUT ROLR

ROLR is building a prediction markets platform delivering the frontier of trading on sports, culture, economics, AI, commodities, and geopolitics.

You'll be on a nimble startup-like team within a public company. Prediction markets are an event-driven cultural product: markets for the moments everyone is already talking about. The world writes our content calendar. This role makes sure ROLR is in the conversation where our consumer audience is acquired: TikTok first, with Instagram cross-posting.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Social Media Manager to build and manage ROLR's organic presence on TikTok and Instagram, the primary channels where our iOS audience is acquired. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing. You’ll work with Design, Product, and Engineering to create social media loops, in-app and AI-assisted content, and, most importantly, organic content that captures the attention of our customers. You’ll also work with community leaders to convert that audience into users and community members. You'll own strategy and hands-on execution: ideating, scripting, producing, and publishing short-form video around markets, sports, news, and cultural moments. You’ll build workflows and use AI tools to scale execution, while working with designers, creatives, and storytellers to keep our content authentic. You'll also coordinate the day-to-day relationship with our paid performance agencies so paid and organic work as one channel strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own social strategy and the editorial calendar for TikTok and Instagram

  • Champion AI-native workflows to translate brand narrative and creative assets into relevant social content

  • Create and publish planned and real-time short-form content around markets, sports, news, and cultural moments

  • Lead ideation, scripting, and production of short-form video

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with our paid performance agency, including briefs, KPIs, performance reviews, and coordination between paid and organic

  • Monitor trends and cultural conversations and identify relevant opportunities for ROLR

  • Work closely with Brand Marketing to translate the wider brand narrative into platform-native content within a regulated vocabulary

  • Develop processes that allow the team to react quickly while meeting compliance requirements

  • Test new formats and content approaches and feed learnings into paid creative

  • Track engagement, follower growth, share of voice, and content performance, and use the data to improve strategy

  • Manage creator partners and channel specialists as the function grows

Job requirements

You’ll need to:

  • Have 3–5 years of experience managing social media for a consumer brand, creator, or publisher account

  • Have deep, hands-on knowledge of TikTok and Instagram

  • Have a strong understanding of internet culture and an instinct for where attention is moving

  • Have hands-on short-form video and content creation experience

  • Have created and published content under both a personal brand and an organizational voice, with an audience or engagement track record to demonstrate success

  • Have a portfolio demonstrating successful social content and audience engagement

  • Have strong writing skills and excellent knowledge of internet and social culture

  • Be comfortable working quickly around live events and cultural moments

  • Be comfortable operating within a regulated environment

  • Be based in New York and work out of our New York office

Preferred Experience

  • Sports, trading, fintech, gaming, or another relevant consumer audience

  • Strong knowledge of AI tools for content ideation, production, and editing

  • A track record of growing a social account and demonstrating measurable audience growth

  • The ability to identify and move quickly on social media opportunities

  • Understanding of how paid marketing and organic social media work together

  • Experience working with performance marketing or media agencies

  • Prediction markets, trading, or sports culture

  • Ability to measure the impact of organic social media on acquisition and revenue

What We Offer

  • Base salary range: $110,000–$150,000 per year. Offers will be positioned within the range based on experience and qualifications

  • Competitive health and welfare benefits

  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
